ABOUT SHANE

 

Shane is a New York City based music director, pianist, and conductor originally from Manistee, MI. Broadway credits include ELF (Keyboard 2 sub/Rehearsal Pianist). National Tours: PRETTY WOMAN First National and Japan (Associate Conductor/Keyboard), ELF (Music Director/Conductor), Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Associate Conductor/Keyboard), MEMPHIS (Associate Conductor/Hammond B3), FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Keyboard sub/rehearsal piano), THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Keyboard sub), and WE THE PEOPLE (Music Director). Select regional credits include: CAMELOT and THE PAJAMA GAME (New London Barn Playhouse), ANNIE GET YOUR GUN and THE CHRISTMAS VOYAGER (Westchester Broadway Theatre), YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN (North Shore Music Theatre), WORKING (The REV Theatre Company), ALTAR BOYZ, CABARET, LUCKY STIFF, EVITA, DAS BARBECÜ (Mason Street Warehouse). He spent many years sailing around the world as a percussionist, pianist, and music director with Seabourn Cruise Line and Holland America Line. 

Shane regularly performs with Adam Pascal in concert, including performances at 54 Below and Feinstein’s at the Nikko, with additional dates across the country in 2025. He is on the music directing team for the, “Cabaret and Performance Conference” at the Tony Award Winning Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center. Active in the NYC theatre scene, he’s on the accompanist faculty at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and plays classes for The Growing Studio, The Norwalk Conservatory, and MTCA. In 2021, he was music director and pianist for GREASE at the Midland Center For The Arts - part of the center’s “Rising Stars” program. He played keyboard in the orchestra for the BCEFA Easter Bonnet Competition in 2019 at the Minskoff Theatre. 2017 saw him travel to Austin, TX to serve as the associate music director for the Texas Arts Project.

Shane is an in demand audition pianist having played for top casting agencies and theatres including: Tara Rubin Casting, Megan Larche Dominick Casting, Paul Hardt Casting, Stewart/Whitley Casting, Maine State Music Theatre, Goodspeed Opera House, North Shore Music Theatre, Walnut Street Theatre, Ogunquit Playhouse, Arrow Rock Lyceum, Theatre By The Sea, Forestburgh Playhouse, ZACH Theatre, The REV Theatre Company, Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts, TheatreWorks USA, A.R.T, The Gateway, Mason Street Warehouse, New London Barn Playhouse, and the A1 Auditions. He has performed and music directed cabarets at 54 Below, Feinstein’s at the Nikko, Le Poisson Rouge, The Stonewall Inn, and The Duplex. Shane has a Bachelor of Music degree in percussion performance from Western Michigan University.
